The Racing For Green Mission Continues

Last year sim racing was accepted by multiple motorsports organizations as an official branch of motorsports.

And last year the Endurance eRacing World Championship became the first 100% directly carbon emissions-free motorsport event. We did this by securing a contract with the power providing company. The certificate states that all used electricity during the event must be matched with an equivalent CO2 emissions-free production. This news broke worldwide and was featured on Motorsport Networks, Yahoo News and MSN amongst others.

So once again this year, the event will be certified emissions-free and on top of that, we will be starting the new “Racing for Green” initiative. This means that during the event, everyone will have the opportunity to buy CO2 absorption equivalent to the CO2 produced by real cars on the real track at Le Mans.

And we haven’t just joined with a company that just spreads seeds or plant random saplings. Global GGW makes sure the trees will live for at least 50 years with proper care and surveillance. They will never get chopped and used for firewood and never be burned down to clear room for more farming grounds.
