The EEWC Championship standings after 24 hours of Matsusaka GP.
The Championship standings after 24 hours of Matsusaka GP.
Team Viadukten #63 entered the 24 hours of Matsusaka as the only HyperCar car again and could take another win in its class and get top points in the EEWC Championship – as Team eBrit was kind enough to stay away from the race(I bet the Viadukten team is now celebrating both securing their 3rd world championship and prizes with ease!). There will be no other team entering the Hypercar class from now on which will have the possibility to be the Official World Champions in the Hypercar rather than Team Viadukten #63.
We would therefore like to Congratulate Viadukten for their 3rd World Championship (Earlier 2x GT3 EEWC World champions). Amazing achievement by the youngsters – even if there weren’t any competitors as of yet!! – It still takes alot to complete a race. That means that Viadukten will as well be taking care of the official GTR24h Trophy when the LeMans 2020 event is over in October. Team Viadukten will as well run away with all the prizes in the Hypercar class – that goes for Money and Hardware!.
In the LMP2 field of cars –A continuous battle for hours and hours between Rookie Monsters #37 and ONEMOVE Esports #11 was ongoing for the most of the race – but at the end OneMove eSport managed to take their first win of the season – a huge relief after multiple issues with hardware not working, crashed and etc. We know the team was celebrating quite a lot after the race ended!
In the GTE fields of cars – Simply Race #15 finally got a foothold on the Musto GD-esports team in both qualifying and the race – Simply Race #15 looked to be untouchable for the most of the race and managed to get top points for this race. Musto GD eSports #53 is still leading the Championship with 72 points – closely followed by Simply Race #15 at 65 points. We are definitely in for one big fight in GTE class in the upcoming LeMans 24H race in October.
The grass-roots GT-Rookie Class – DIS SR 45 once again took both pole position and won the race over the very experienced Team Rookie Monsters #999 car and the B32 Racing #32 teams. The DIS 45 car is now leading the Championship with an impressive 80 points followed by Rookie Monsters at 54 points. The only chance Rookie Monsters have to become World Champions in the Rookie GT3 class – Is if DIS 45 car isnt participating and Rookie Monsters both win the Race, Get pole position and complete the race.
For the third position in the GT Rookie Class – B32 Racing came out of that race and managed to secure a 3rd position over both the Simracing MotorSport #23 and the DSR Nightmare #777 car. We discussed earlier the fierce battle between DSR and Simracing MotorSport were one to look out for. But that changed completely leading up to the finals in October. Thanks to B32 Racing for interfering and making the championship even more exciting. That just made it even more nerve wrecking.
See you at the World Championship Finals in October Online!!
