GTE – Deuces Motorsport Club take the spoils in Matsusaka

It was a great start to the season in GTE for Deuces Motorsport Club, as the #74 Aston Martin V8 Vantage crew kept their cool during both day and night at Matsusaka to win the class by almost one lap over the #54 Porsche 911 RSR of MPE, with great battling being showcased throughout the 12 hours of racing from all competitors.

It was very close for the final step on the rostrum between last year’s GT3 champions Unison Racing in the #717 BMW M8 and the #45 Porsche 911 RSR of DIS SimRacing Lab. The former would take the finish a mere 0.432 seconds ahead of the forward-charging Porsche, who would have been third, had it not been for an unfortunate off-track excursion at the Degners with around ten minutes to go.

It was a diffcult race for the #67 of Mugen SimRacing, who would be in clear contention until an incident in the night with the #1 DPi car of Team Viadukten, resulting in the BMW M8 then piloted by Roland Szucs suffering serious damage after multiple rolls. But rest assured that more fiery action will be welcomed at Monza next month.
