GlamRacing races for Childhospice Strandbakkehuset
GlamRacing have decided that for the last 3 races in the GTR24H – Endurance eRacing World Championship, that GlamRacing will be fundraising money for the newly opened Child hospice “Strandbakkehuset”.
The child hospice is located near Rønde in Denmark, and it opened its doors for families in December 2020, and up to 4 families can stay at the Child hospice at the time.
The hope is that the homeliness creates security for the families, and it is therefore important that the framework contributes to the families being able to continue their ‘normal’ everyday life while they are hospitalized.
The target group at Strandbakkehuset is children and young people aged 0-18 years with life-limiting and life-threatening illness with complex symptoms that require specialized palliative care either during the course of the disease or in the final phase.
With approx. 15-20% of sick children and young people end their lives in hospice. The other children and young people are admitted for the purpose of symptom relief, relief, care and support – exactly what Strandbakkehuset can offer the hard-hit families.
So, if anyone needs a bit of love and gratitude, it’s children and their families.
We hope that a lot of teams and fans of sim racing would like to help us on our way in raising money for the kids who needs it.
All of the money donated to this charity will be donated directly to Child hospice “Strandbakkehuset”, after the last race, which is Le Mans, at the 30/10-31/10 2021
