Endurance eRacing World Championship Calendar 2021 - Updated

The task was laid and the objective was clear: Using tracks approved or officially licensed by Studio 397 we want to create the toughest endurance racing series ever seen in sim racing, We started by listening to our teams, with that interaction we feel our plans and the teams are better aligned through 2021. There was a lot of debate with Race Management ensuring GTR24H race weekends sat in such a way they didn’t collide with other major Sim racing series and real-life events. It was also quickly agreed that even though the 12-hour races of 2020 have been a lot of fun and quite compacted, with the new season we wanted to fully commit to the company name. This means we have in our diary the final two events including Le Man 24-hour will be twice around the clock events. This gives teams a chance to prepare and bring all their skills to the table. Apart from fitting in the race weekends, there was also the problem of the tracks needing to be approved or fully licensed with Studio 397. There are of course already three fully licensed iconic endurance racing tracks in rFactor 2: Sebring International Raceway, Nürburgring, and Circuit de la Sarthe.

We also have Silverstone, as it just received major graphics updates. We are racing Matsusaka this year as well and we know the track is varied and creates exciting multi-class racing. But we also realise that S397 are within weeks releasing another track of which there has been much speculation. Rest assured if the newly released track fits in with our 2021 calendar we will be substituting it into our season. The first track of the season is new for GTR24H. Many of us have raced at Indianapolis Road Course in other series before, and have fond memories of this track. With its high-speed straights and in-field, it is the closest thing we can get to emulating a certain other series season-opening race.

All-in-all this means 4×12-hour races and 2×24 hours of racing for a total of 96 hours of racing in 2021 Endurance eRacing World Championship. All of it will be run with live stewarding, live race control, and live-streamed with live sim racing expert commentary on all major social media platforms as well as broadcast worldwide through our TV- and broadcasting partners.
