Drillers Esports together with PINSIM are returning to the GTR24H EEWC with a strong showing of two entries at the EEWC 24 Hours of Le Mans, entering a Hypercar and LMP2 for the big race. Either car will see the team’s mainstay VEC drivers take on the most famous endurance race this weekend.

The Lineups are as follows;

#10 LMHC

Timotej Andonovski of Macedonia

Henri Sinik of Estonia

Jeroen Kweekel of The Netherlands

Martin Hemmingsen of Denmark

#17 LMP2

Jaimy Tatuhey of The Netherlands

Bojan Bogdanov of Serbia

James Dziuba of The United Kingdom

Blake Checketts of The United Kingdom

The last time our up and coming Drillers squad took on a GTR24h event was at the instant classic 2020 Nurburgring 24 Hours, where the likes of Martin Hemmingsen and Henri Sinik stole the show as the night fell, putting in monster stints to catch and pull away from the ever-impressive Burst Esports team.

The team’s last three attempts at the 24h of Le Mans featured a win in Division 2 of the 2019/20 Virtual Endurance Championship, a 5th placed finish in the RaceDepartment Series with Eneric Andre, Robin Bondon, Yohann Harth and Alexis Paradot at the helm. Technical failures in the rF24h cost a placed finish for the Dutch outfit.

While we are an up and coming name in the esports scene we would also like to secure our place as one of the best. Pushing for results in the Virtual Endurance Championship and other championships such as the GT Challenge.

Before the team heads into the proceedings this weekend, we’ve asked Team Principal, Joey Vrolijk, for some words: “The team and I are looking very much forward towards this weekend, I think with our current experience in endurance racing we have a good shot of finishing in the prized places. I have got full trust in the squad, not to mention Blake Checketts who is very excited to make his first-team debut in the #17 alongside some very experienced and talented members such as Jaimy Tatuhey, James Dziuba and Drillers veteran, Bojan Bogdanov”

Drillers Esports are also happy to announce that they will be partaking in the 2021 GTR24h EEWC Season, including the final event, which will be hosted in Denmark as a LAN and will also be streamed live for all to watch. One car will be entered into the Hypercar class, and the other into LMP2. Team line-ups for the 2021 season will be announced in due course after this weekends illustrious race.
